SPF Finds ‘SG Nasi Lemak’ Administrators; Two Charged In Court

On Tuesday (Oct 15), two teenagers were among four people charged in court for their alleged involvement in transmitting obscene materials through a Telegram group called SG Nasi Lemak.

The four, who appeared in court via video link, are: Abdillah Sabaruddin, 17; Justin Lee Han Shi, 19; Leonard Teo Min Xuan, 26 and Liong Tianwei, 37.

ICA: More Singaporean Kids Will Get Their First Passport Free

On Tuesday (Oct 15) the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said it will extend this initiative to babies born this year if they apply for their passports online next year on or before their first birthday.

This comes after the government’s announcement in August that Singaporean babies in or after January next year will get free passports.

This initiative was launched to encourage more Singaporeans to get married and have babies.

58YO Arrested For Slashing Man With Knife During Robbery In Tanglin Halt

On Tuesday (Oct 15), a 58-year-old man was charged in court with armed robbery with hurt.

The suspect had attacked another man with a knife and robbed him of his phone. Police said they received a report on the incident at about 10.40pm on Sunday.

Maid Jailed For Making False Rape Police Report Against Employer

A 28-year-old foreign domestic worker had lodged a police report accusing her employer of raping her.

However, after further investigations, police discovered that they actually had consensual sex.

For lodging a false police report, she was sentenced to three weeks’ jail on Tuesday (Oct 15).

Woman Who Bit Police Officer For Over 10 Seconds And Punched Another Jailed

A 27-year-old woman was jailed for 26 weeks after she bit a policewoman and punched another officer.

After an altercation with her sister, the police were called, and they attempted to calm her down.

After they brought her to the police station, she bit the policewoman’s forearm and later punched another officer.
