The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said on Tuesday, 29 October 2019 that there were no traces of asbestos found in Johnson & Johnson talcum powders sold in Singapore.

This came after Johnson & Johnson announced that they would be recalling 33,000 of its talcum powders after one bottle had traces of asbestos, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

Man Involved In SG Nasi Lemak Case Now Faces 5 More Charges Involving Pornography

Yesterday, one out of the four alleged offenders who face charges for transmitting obscene materials in Telegram now faces an additional five charges including pornography.

37-year-old Liong Tianwei is accused of nine counts of transmitting pornographic material by electronic means. This occurred in eight different instances between June and October 2019.

Singapore To Use Solar Energy Production To Power Up 350,000 Homes By 2030

Singapore will increase efforts to make use of solar energy to power homes by more than seven times from current levels by 2030. This comes amidst increasing global awareness of how fossil fuels are resulting in climate change.

This will be sufficient to meet the annual power needs of around 350,000 homes in Singapore. This makes up around 4% of Singapore’s total electricity demand.

Teen Who Walked Around HDB Block And Masturbates In Front Of Women Gets Probation

A teenager had sexual urges for women whom he saw around his HDB block. Thus, he exposed his genitals and masturbated in front of them. The incident occurred in April 2018.

In one particular instance, he poked a woman with a stick so that he could have a clearer look at her face. He pleaded guilty to one charge of insulting a woman’s modesty and another of using criminal force.

40 Residents Evacuated After Ang Mo Kio Flat Catches Fire

As many as 40 residents living in Ang Mo Kio were evacuated yesterday after a fire occurred in a kitchen.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were informed of a fire on the fourth floor of Block 446 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at around 9.05am.

SCDF said that the fire was put out using two water jets.
