21YO Charged After Slashing Man’s Face With Knife Over Money Loan
21-year-old Wong Kian Hong was charged today in court for slashing 31-year-old Mr Poh Say Hong’s face with a knife on 3 October 2019 at Orchid Hotel.
The slashing resulted in Mr Poh sustaining a 5cm long permanent scar.
If found guilty, Wong could be jailed up to 15 years and fined or caned.

Condo & HDB Rents Fall In September; Leasing Demand Likely To Drop Further
More people are renting HDB flats as compared to private condominiums.
According to data from real estate portal SRX Property, overall rents for condominiums have fallen by 0.4% despite the year-on-year rents increasing.
Fall in rents could be due to slower economic growth and more pullback from hiring.

Drug Abuser Who Held 23YO Woman Hostage After Stealing Rolex Given Corrective Training
On 16 March 2016, 36-year-old Muhamed Fazulla Mohamed Khan slipped a Rolex watch into his pocket when the shop attendant was not looking. A police report was filed against him and the police decided to ambush him on 21 March.
He spotted them and barged into a 23-year-old woman’s flat because the main gate was unlocked.
He then took a 12.5cm-long blade from the kitchen and held the woman hostage in her own bathroom. He only released her after one and a half hours and surrendered two more hours later.
While out on bail, he continued to commit theft. Since he is a repeat offender, he will be given corrective training.

Man Fined For Doing “Dirty Things” While Staring At Boy’s Private Parts In Toilet
On 21 August 2018, 47-year-old Phang Kok Fui decided to stand next to a 14-year-old schoolboy in the urinals and started committing an obscene act whilst staring right at the boy’s private parts.
The schoolboy left immediately and reported the incident.
Phang was charged and fined $4,000 for performing an obscene act in public.
For this offence, he could have been jailed for up to three months, fined or both.

29YO Jailed After Threatening Ex-Wife With Knife, Sending Ex-Girlfriend’s Nudes To Her Family, & Punching Ex-Lover
The 29-year-old was charged with two charges of criminal intimidation and one charge of voluntarily causing hurt, with three more charges being taken into consideration.
He was sentenced to five months’ jail on Tuesday, 8 October.
For each charge of criminal intimidation, he could have been jailed up to two years and fined.
For voluntarily causing hurt, he could have also been jailed up to two years and fined up to $5,000.
