Here’s a confession: I can’t take spicy food for shits.
I’m that kind of loser that orders ‘xiao la (Lowest spicy level)’ for mala hotpot.
But eating spicy food can be addictive.
I was addicted to Samyang spicy noodle for a period of time, even though I could hardly finish it.
Just like this adorable boy over here, except that he tried the Extra Spicy Ayam Goreng from McDonald’s instead.
Supposedly Three Times Spicier Than Before
On 10 August 2019, Malaysia McDonald’s had introduced their Extra Spicy Ayam Goreng.
McDonald’s claims that these extra spicy chicken will “ignite your senses” and is now three times spicier than before.
They have also added that this is the ultimate test that will reward only the bravest of souls with a deliciously burning sensation.
Sounds challenging and delicious eh.
So delicious that this little boy decided to try it.
“It Is Only A Little Bit Spicy”
A kid in Terengganu named Irfan was one of the brave souls who has decided to take up the challenge.
The cutest thing? He decided to film the entire process, because why not.
He started the video by saying that he will be trying the McDonald’s Extra Spicy Ayam Goreng.
He said “Many have told me that it is spicy. It is bright red, it is only a little bit spicy.”
Brave words.
Can I just say, he looked damn confident as well.
He then proceeded with the first bite.
According to World of Buzz, he said “The meat is not as spicy as the skin. The spice is only skin deep.”
However, his priceless reaction just clearly shows how the “skin deep spiciness” is killing him.
Doesn’t Stop After First Bite
Despite that, the little boy did not just stop at the first bite, he proceeds to take another two to three bites while frowning.
He was also mostly silent throughout the video while telling his mother how spicy the chicken is.
He seems to be trying to hold back his screams and tears as well while his family members were laughing at him.
Towards the end of the video, someone (whom I assume is his family member), showed a piece of regular chicken to the camera.
It appears that even though there are non-spicy chickens on the table, he still chose to go back to the spicy ones.
Although I’m pretty sure he’s regretting his life choices.
We’re not sure if he did finish the chicken (I hope not), but can someone just give him an award for being so brave and adorable as well?
I couldn’t stop smiling while watching the video, this kid is way too cute!
