Lest you’ve been dwelling under a cave, you would surely be aware of the freak accident that befell Taiwanese host and actor Alien Huang on 16 September 2020.
Also known as Xiao Gui in showbiz, the multi-talented television personality had reportedly slipped near the bathroom, and was later found by his own father in an unconscious state, with external injuries on his head.
He was subsequently pronounced dead by paramedics who arrived at the scene.
Since then, tributes from industry peers, both Singaporean and Taiwanese, have poured in for the former “100% Entertainment” host.
Truly, it has been one really, really sad year, in more aspects than one.
Alien Huang’s Underground Girlfriend Responds to His Demise & Talks About Their Relationship
And now, it seems that 30-year-old Taiwanese dancer/model Wu Hanqun has joined the fray, though there’s one notable difference about her post:
Apparently, Wu had been Huang’s ‘underground’ girlfriend.
In a move that’s uncannily reminiscent of homegrown Jayley Woo’s own heartbreak more than a year ago, Wu crafted a heartfelt eulogy that not only revealed her relationship with Huang but also entailed the details that occurred on that fateful day.
In her eulogy, Wu spoke at length of her relationship with Huang, and how they had tried to keep it under wraps.
It’s implied that they promised each other to keep their relationship status “low-profile”, as Huang felt that it would be “better” for their relationship.
However, Wu expressed that she was unable to “do it anymore” after Huang’s death, as it “hurts too much”.
Apparently, they had been together for one and a half years.
Wu also revealed how she had tried to contact Huang on the day he passed but was ultimately unable to reach him.
A rough translation of the post reads as follows:
Sorry, I may not have the strength to reply to everyone’s messages. I’m thankful for all the concern.
Every day, I wonder how I can be so fortunate.
Every day, I wonder how I can meet someone who complements me so well.
Every day, I express my thanks to God for allowing me to meet you
Though we were always at home, I always felt contented, as it was not boring and there was no argument.
But in the end, we still got caught.
I know you felt we were better off being low-profile, hence why we were “good friends”. But I don’t seem to be able to take it anymore, because it hurts too much.
I no longer care about what the media and public think of us. I do not wish to pretend any longer.
Sorry for breaking our promise and thank you for protecting me and doting on me all this while.
Whatever request I made, you would do it no matter how ridiculous it was. Wherever we go, whatever we do, whoever there was, you would take pictures and videos for me outside of work.
Regardless of whether you were bathing or sleeping, you would reply to me instantly just to prevent me from worrying.
For the past year and a half, there has been no change but last night, I could not reach you no matter what I did.
You’ve always been the one looking for me. Apart from using the phone, I don’t know how else to reach you.
This was when I realised just how powerless I was.
Two weeks ago, you suddenly said to me, “Let’s not get married, ok?”
I asked why; you said, “This way, you would not have to take any responsibility if anything happens to me in the future. You can marry someone else with a clean slate.”
But, Huang Hongsheng, I only want you…
Life is just too, too difficult…….
