After a long search, Socks was found in Yio Chu Kang Secondary School. The residents then went to the school, lured her out and brought her to the vet.
Socks was taken to Mount Pleasant Veterinary Centre in Jalan Gelengang with a cut on her lip, a fractured canine tooth and broken bones in her front leg.
She also had dried blood on her lower lips and front paws as well.
With the injury, Socks had to go through a surgery and thankfully, the surgery, whereby metal plates were inserted and her broken elbow bone was removed, was successful . Her broken tooth was removed and treated as well.
She was given painkillers to fight the pain, but it did not work for she was still crying, and refused to eat or drink because of the unbearable pain.
The medical bill came up to about S$7,000 and it was raised through crowdfunding within a day.
