Let’s face it, we all jaywalk.
But at least we know we’re in the wrong.
But then again, you’ll come across an ungracious jaywalker from time to time like this bearded dude.
The Mystery Of The Bearded Jaywalker
In a video posted on Facebook by SG Road Vigilante, a bearded man is seen crossing a street in Balestier.
Sounds normal, except that it was a red man for the pedestrian crossing and he was looking at his phone while crossing.
The video doesn’t have audio but presumedly, the driver did what any sane driver would do: honk at him.
Except, it didn’t go the way the driver imagined.
The bearded man pointed to the traffic light and gesticulate angrily at the driver, as though he had been greatly wronged.
The driver must have been baffled, I’m sure.
The driver then inched forward slightly and the bearded jaywalker started throwing a tantrum. It’s not clear what he said but if hands could talk they were howling with fury.
Then, before walking away, the angsty man motioned as if he was going to stomp on the driver’s car.
Unanswered Questions
There are many unanswered questions here in the mystery of the bearded jaywalker.
Firstly, what the hell was he pointing at when he angrily motioned towards the traffic light which had a man as red as a rose?
He must have seen that the man was red but was probably too self-important to admit his mistake.
And it wasn’t as if the traffic man had just turned red, no, it was red from the start of the video.
Secondly, why such anger? The driver stopped even though it was a green light and a red man.
Even if it were a green man, which it wasn’t, the driver STOPPED. So why did the bearded jaywalker explode with rage?
No one knows.
Just like Jack the Ripper and Stonehenge, the mystery of the bearded jaywalker may never be solved.
One thing’s for certain though, he needs to stop wearing sandals with jeans.
