What’s up with delivery guys stealing resident’s items.
Remember, last week when news of an UberEats guy stealing a parcel went viral.
Well, he did apologise and paid for the parcel, but why did he even do it in the first place?
You can read the entire saga here.
Now, another one is in the spotlight.
What happened
According to Stomp, a food delivery guy was caught on CCTV taking an electronic scooter from a private estate in Kovan (3 @ Sandilands) on 22 Feb.
The scooter in question is an Inoki Quick 3 model and it belonged to Stomper JT.
Stomp mentioned that the incident happened at around 2:30 P.M.
The CCTV camera captured the said delivery guy leaving the premise with a large black and silver bag on a bicycle.
But shortly after, he returns back and is seen leaving the premise on the said electronic scooter.
JT mentioned that his electronic scooter was placed next to the lift and that the CCTV was able to capture it.
He believes that a neighbour from his block had ordered food but he isn’t sure who is it as there are 20 units in his block.
“I later asked the neighbours living on the same floor as me, but they told me that none of them had ordered anything that day,” he said.
And he also mentioned that his estate is quite a “distance away” from the main road.
“He would have taken close to 20 minutes to get out carrying the e-scooter. I was out for lunch at the time of the incident or I would have bumped into him,” he added.
According to Stomp, a police report has been lodged and investigations are still ongoing.

Netizens’ reactions
I am not the only one who thinks this a growing trend.
Someone predicted how this incident will play out.
But another netizen believes this will play out much differently
from the stolen parcel situation.
