Apple Reportedly Going to Release the Biggest iPhone & a Cheaper One in 2018

Last week, I told you that Apple might release a trio of new phones later this year.

Well, now we have further insights into the said iPhones.

According to the report by Bloomberg, the three smartphones will be much superior to the iPhone X—a larger version of iPhone X, an upgraded version of iPhone X and a cheaper version of the iPhone X.

The new smartphones will be officially announced in September and they are already running production tests with suppliers.

According to the report, the large iPhone is codenamed D33, and it will be sporting a screen size close to 6.5 inches—the current iPhone X screen size is 5.8 inches—while it will still feature the OLED screen like the predecessor.

They are also testing out prototypes with a possible screen resolution of 1242 x 2688 which will enable split-screen options like the “Plus” counterparts.

It will also include the much-raved Face ID technology and they are considering to offer dual-SIM card option in certain countries.

Here is the best part: it might be available in gold!

Why a cheaper iPhone X?

According to the report, Apple hopes that the newer versions of the iPhone X will boost sales.

The iPhone X didn’t do that well, selling only 77.3 million iPhones in the final quarter of 2017 and people found it too expensive which is why they are planning to release a cheaper version of it, just like iPhone 5C.

Its features will be similar to that of iPhone 8—aluminium edges and a glass back—but with an edge-to-edge screen that is sported by iPhone X.

Thoughts

Well, I don’t know about you but I started spazzing out when they mentioned that it will be available in gold colour.
