Unlike other stalls who use brown, murky oil to fry their wares, the oil used for these sweet potato balls is a clear, golden colour which may be the reason these balls sell like hot cakes. Located at a back lane, it’s like stepping back in time when you are in this kopitiam. They serve a different menu daily, but staple kopitiam fare such as coffee, half boiled eggs and kaya toast is some of the must try food. You will be surprised to know that this place has been in existence for 40 years. Mainly selling Swiss Roll, kaya puffs and egg tarts, make sure to try the rich, fragrant and sweet kaya in the Swiss Rolls. Serving more than 30 dishes daily for over 40 years, customers are spoilt for choice when deciding what to eat. It still tastes as good as yesteryears, being fragrant, cripsy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
