In Singapore, if you were to ask anyone, chances are most people will think of KFC and McDonald’s when they ask about “the battle of fast-food chains”.

But this Oct 2020, a new contender has stepped up to the plate.

The king of fast-food chains (at least in name) vs the Clown, the Golden arches.

Burger King vs McDonald’s.

Reader Bao: …You’re kidding.

Okay, fine, I was mostly kidding, but you’ll forgive me for saying that when you see what BK Singapore has for their new offerings.

Go Big Or Go Home: Double-Salmon Burger

When it comes to burgers, there are two factors that come into play:

  1. The taste
  2. How wide you have to open your mouth

And it seems that this time, the King wants you to open your mouth very bigly.

From today (13 Oct 2020), Burger King Singapore is offering the “Ultimate Salmon Burger”.

A thick, two-salmon-patty monster that’s going to have you opening your jaw wide. Literally.

You can expect two salmon patties layered with cheese, topped off with caramelized onions, tomato and the usual cabbage and carrots with some tartar sauce.

This sinful goodness is then sandwiched between two corn dust sourdough buns.

But that’s not the best part.

Burger King is known for its tagline: Feast like a king…for cheap.

Okay, I added the last part but that doesn’t make it less true.

For this monster of a burger, and a fries and drink, you’ll only need to pay $10.90.

Diet? That one can wait until 2021 lah after this disappears off the menu.

Belgian Chocolate Soft Serve

If you need something to wash down your meal, Burger King Singapore has also brought back their crowd-favourite Belgian soft serve for you.

You have three ways to enjoy the soft-serve:

  • In a cone ($1.30)
  • As a Choc-Float ($3.20)
  • Or in the form of a sundae ($2.10)

Now you know why I say they’re competing against McDonald’s this time around, don’t you?
