On Wednesday (16 June), a fire broke out in an Ang Mo Kio HDB flat.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), around 130 residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure while seven people were sent to the hospital.

Fire Breaks Out in AMK HDB Flat; 7 People Taken to Hospital & 130 Residents Evacuated
The fire broke out at a seventh-floor unit at Block 123 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 on Wednesday (16 June) at around 9:40am.
There was at least once SCDF ambulance at the scene, as seen from footage of the incident uploaded onto social media.
Thick black smoke was seen to be coming out from the kitchen of the affected flat, as well also another window of the flat.
The fire did not appear to be spreading to the other neighbouring units.
The affected flat appeared to be in a state of destruction after the fire was put out, with its contents seen to be mostly charred.
An occupant of the affected unit was found by the SCDF at the staircase landing on the seventh floor and was safely evacuated from the scene.
The fire was extinguished with a water jet and two Compressed Air Foam (CAF) backpacks.
In addition, the police and the SCDF evacuated around 130 residents from floors 5 to 9 of the affected block as a precautionary measure.
Staff and residents of the AWWA Nursing Home on levels 2 and 4 of the block had already self-evacuated before the arrival of the SCDF.
Seven people were sent to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), and National University Hospital (NUH) for treatment. They were treated for smoke inhalation and giddiness.
According to the SCDF, the cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
3 Firefighters Injured While Extinguishing Fire at Chinatown Shophouse
Just yesterday (15 Jun), a fire broke out in a shophouse in the Chinatown area.
Parts of a ceiling had fallen on two firefighters as they were working to put out the fire, while another was sent to the hospital to be treated for heat exhaustion.
The two firefighters were on the third storey of the shophouse when parts of the above ceiling fell on them. They had been dressed in full protective equipment.
They had to be evacuated from the scene immediately.
One of them was taken to SGH, while the other was treated on-site, having sustained minor scratches.
Another firefighter had to be taken to SGH as well for heat exhaustion.
The fire was eventually extinguished using three water jets and the aid of a platform ladder.
