Everyone knows that it is every girl’s dream to have a perfect fairytale wedding.
You only get married once in a lifetime and everything has to be perfect.
Last Tuesday ( Feb 20), a Filipino bride-to-be by the name of Mhayo Arguelles shared her wedding nightmare on Facebook.
In her post, Mhayo shared the story about how she got her wedding dress designed.
This was the sketch of her gown:
She stated that she asked her designer friend to design her most-important gown.
According to World of Buzz, Mhayo was confident that he will deliver his promise and paid him PHP30,000 (SGD 764).
But things started to go downhill when she received her gown just one day before her Valentine’s Day wedding.
Firstly, her gown was delivered to her in this bag:
The designer friend a bit professional ah…
When she took out her gown, she realised that her dress was made with very cheap and low-quality fabric.
Yes, that’s her wedding dress.
“I felt depressed after seeing my gown, I said, ‘What? This is my wedding gown?’ I thought twice and wondered how it could have turned this way. It’s ugly!”
“The lace on the arm-part of the gown is loose. It didn’t fit my arm the right way… I was charged extra for my veil, which looked like it was just cut off from a mosquito net. Crazy!”
Any bride-to-be would be panicking at times like this !
Luckily for her, Mhayo’s maid of honour was able to borrow a much nicer dress for her just in time for her big day.
“I was only able to use the train, because I had no other choice. I just did what I had to do to look as best I can with the gown I borrowed. The veil was also by my designer friend. There was no other veil I could use.”
Oh and that’s not all.
The designer friend was also tasked to design the suits for the groomsmen.
But since he already screwed up the most important gown, it doesn’t hurt to screw up even more right?
I’m not even trying to be sarcastic because that’s exactly what he did!
This professional designer delivered the suits late.
“The groomsmen’s outfits were delivered Feb 12 at around 11pm. That’s wrong as well, because normally, there should be at least one week of final fitting before the wedding. I am wondering why you waited until the last minute before you delivered our clothes, while I gave you a long period to prepare,” Mhayo ranted.
“But I was still considerate of my friend. I still gave him work when I asked him to do the makeup of my bridesmaids. They were also not pleased with their makeup. Their PHP500 (SGD 13) each was not worth it.”
Talk about generous!
I would have cut all ties with this dude for ruining my big day.
Because of the low-quality dress, Mhayo refused to pay him the remaining PHP8,000 (SGD 203).
And this designer had the audacity to file a complaint against her!
Have you seen anyone so thick-skinned?
The bride doesn’t let things go this easily, so she also filed a case against her friend.
They will be settling the issue tomorrow (Feb 27).
Please…someone, stop this man from ruining people’s dreams!
