If one of your bucket list is to bungee jump, you can soon do it in Singapore.
In Singapore, the closest thing to a bungee jumping is G-Max Reverse Bungy and GX-5 Extreme Swing, in which you’ll be seated in a small capsule that will swing you up into the air at a speed of up to 120 kph. Here’s a video to show you how scary it is.

Since 2012, AJ Hackett, the New Zealand-based entrepreneur known for being the person who commercialized bungee jumping, has been trying to bring bungee jumping to Singapore with his company AJ Hackett Bungy. The site was initially set to be open in 2015 but was delayed.
In late 2015, AJ Hackett posted a video that stated the opening date of the first bungee jumping site in Singapore: the last quarter of 2016.
Situated at Siloso Beach in Sentosa, their website indicates that there would be four different types of activities lined up for extreme sports fans.
Bungee Jumping
AJ Hackett Bungy offers bungee jumping at a height of 47 m. The minimum age is 10 years old with parental consent and the minimum weight is 35 kg. It is estimated to take a maximum of 25 jumpers per hour.
Giant Swings
Something new for daredevils, the participants, safely harnessed in a swing, will be winched up from ground level all the way to 40 m above ground. Each swing could take up to three people, and when they’re at the top, they will then be descended at more than 100 kmh. I’m pretty sure that’s as thrilling as bungee jumping.
Vertical Skywalk
Ever wanted to walk down a building vertically like those superheroes in the movies? Well, here’s your chance. Vertical Skywalk allows you to walk down 44 m, and you can control your speed. Cool AF, indeed.
Skybridge
One of the activities catered more for the mainstream, you get to walk on a bridge that is 47 m above ground on a 2 m wide path. Arguably that you can do this elsewhere in Singapore (think: Treetop Walk), it still is scary to look down 47 m above an urban setting, isn’t it?

Anyway, if you can’t wait until the later part of this year, you can still make your way to Extreme Park Sunway in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This is managed by a company that handles the AJ Hackett International operations in Malaysia, so it’s still considered affiliated with the new extreme sports site in Sentosa.
Or maybe you simply want to enjoy the excitement in Singapore? Check out their website here, or even express your interest here!
