Singaporeans are no stranger to BuzzFeed. After all, they’ve entertained us with their cute cats and entertaining articles on Facebook for a long time.
That is until they dissed a national Singaporean (read: Asian) delicacy. And you know how we get when people insult anything Singaporean.
Remember Anton Casey? Yup.

Reactions from Netizens
Almost immediately after the article was launched, the author and Buzzfeed came under fire.
Some attempted to correct BuzzFeed UK senior editor Luke Bailey
While others simply thought that the writer was abrasive and insulting
Buzzfeed UK Senior Editor got schooled
Some decided to fight fire with fire
And it’s not just us Asians
This nice guy decides to explain why it’s a bad idea to mess with Singaporeans and their food
Annnnnd…the results!
Making a quick switch, Buzzfeed decide to replace #7 with a safer choice.
And seems like it wasn’t a smart switch after all.
But really, this girl said it the best.
Morale of the story: Don’t mess with the ice-cream bread.
