Here in Singapore, most of us live in HDBs. And like it or not, we all have had our fair share of getting disturbed in a multitude of ways.
At times, it’s the sickening construction noises. Or maybe, it’s your neighbour’s baby’s cry amplifying throughout the block. Worst, it’s that one bird that goes “Ku-Oo” every morning obstructing your sleep.
Returning home to a flooded home though is kind of rare. When it happens not once but twice?
Hm… sus. Real sus.
Yet that was what a Singaporean man experienced recently.
You might be thinking, “Ok, maybe he quarrelled with his neighbour and they just had to find a way to pour buckets of water into the flat?”
Not exactly.
The masterminds behind the mess were his Russian Blue cats. Apparently, they just learned how to turn the kitchen tap on.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for disaster.
TikTok User Wakes Up to Flooded Home
On Wednesday (9 Jun), Zul Taylor posted a TikTok video of him awakening to a flooded home on two incidences.
He mentioned that he was just about to head for work when he discovered that his kitchen floor was flooded.
In the clip, one of his cats was seen cavorting on the wet kitchen floor. It’s almost as if it’s completely unaware of the mess created.
Zul also bewailed about how he had to take “urgent leave” to fix the problem.
Oh boy, the cat probably isn’t gonna receive any treats for a while after this.
The good thing though, is that his other cats appeared at the very least, guilty. Judging by how they were trying to evacuate from the crime scene by laying on the furniture.
Cats Turn Kitchen Sink Tap On & Flood Home, Again
In the 2nd half of the video, Zul mentioned that surprise surprise, the same incident occurred yet again.
He woke up from his nap after hearing similar sounds of a running tap on a separate day.
Imagine having to clear up a flooded house twice. My goodness.
As he was the only one at home then, it wasn’t long before he eyeballed the next prime suspect. The cats.
He then continuously questions them, “Who left the water running?”
Ok Sherlock. As if the cats are gonna answer you “I did it”. But you do you.
Response to the TikTok Video
The TikTok video garnered several hilarious comments. One pointed out that the cats might have wanted to create their indoor swimming pool due to the hot weather.
Others forecasted that the water bills for the month are gonna skyrocket.
Which probably is indeed true. Good analysis.
Cats are probably one of the most adorable pets to be kept at home, and do you know that your love for cats could be due to a disease? Watch this video to the end and you’ll understand:
