Over the past few years, peeping tom cases have been on the rise.
Especially so after the few controversial incidents that happened among some local universities.
However, that did not deter some people from going out of their way to “take a sneak peek”.
Woman Recounts her Incident with a Peeping Tom
On 8 Jan (Sat), a Facebook user, Jerlyn Lim, recounted her recent encounter with a peeping tom at a public toilet.
The incident began when she was urinating alone in the female toilet. According to Lim, no one else was present in the toilet then.
Suddenly, she heard “heavy breathing” and someone stepping on the toilet seat.
Sounds suspicious already.
Having a gut feeling that someone was looking at her, she then proceeded to look upwards. To her dismay, a man was there staring down at her from the next cubicle.
Once Lim locked eye contact with the man, he then hurriedly stepped down from the toilet seat.
Looks like someone’s busted.
Woman Confronted the Man
Thankfully, Lim’s response was speedy. She then went ahead to leave the cubicle and waited outside for the man to come out.
After approximately five minutes of waiting, the man finally exited from the female’s toilet. Lim then approached the man for clarification.
However, the man immediately denied the allegations and started to run.
Apparently, Lim tried to chase the perpetrator but he “was running too fast”. Luckily, Lim managed to snap a few pictures of the man before he started to run away.
Even though his identity could not be clearly seen while masked up, the pictures could serve as a piece of important evidence to the police.
Oh and in case you stuck on to find out where this incident had happened, here’s your answer.
This particular peeping tom case happened in Pasir Ris, although Lim did not specify the exact location.
