There are some situations in life that make us crave a shower immediately.
- After running (and failing) a 2.4km IPPT run
- An intense badminton match at the local community centre
- And after a fun afternoon at the beach
While some of us are willing to endure a long queue at the nearby shower rooms, others aren’t.
Now, you’d be thinking; then you just endure the journey home, then.
Well, most of us probably would do that, but it appears that a creative parent has thought of another way through this dilemma.
Someone Used a Bidet to Bath a Kid in Changi Beach Toilet
On 5 Nov 2021, TikTok user darkcoklat1111 took to the social media platform to complain about an incident she presumedly met with at a toilet located at Changi Beach.
@darkcoklat1111They bathe the kids with bidet at Changi Beach toilet. Just because the queue is long for the shower cubicle. #unhygienic #inconsiderate #fyp #fypシ♬ original sound – Chiquitta
According to the post’s caption, a parent allegedly decided to bathe her children at the toilet stall with a bidet.
The reason, the user claimed, was because the queue for the shower cubicle was long.
Now, if it was a self-contained cubicle, most would’ve applauded the parent for her creative thinking.
However, we’re all familiar with public toilets, and you know that when things happen within one stall, it usually spreads to the others very quickly.
In this case, would anyone want to do big business in a waterlogged stall?
The post itself has 22 “likes” and 5 shares, but that’s not where this thing caught on.
It was at our neighbourhood-friendly HardwareZone where the discussion actually got going.
Netizens’ Reactions
While most netizens expressed disapproval with the parent’s actions, there are several who thinks otherwise.
A few thought it was creative:
One pointed out that Singapore’s water is clean no matter where it pops out from
One netizen was busy being impressed that these bidets were there in the first place.
And one netizen made a mini-confession, saying he/she would probably do the same thing.
Be pragmatic.
But, of course, as one netizen points out, we don’t know the full story, especially based on an 8-second video:
Well, one thing for sure, though, I wouldn’t want to be doing big business at the stall next to theirs.
What do you think?
