Looks like fast food outlets are all upping their menu game, folks.
As everyone knows, McDonald’s has just launched the long-awaited BTS meal.
Meanwhile, Burger King launched their plant-based Whopper on 18 June.
As for KFC?
In the complete opposite of Burger King’s plant-based burger, KFC has announced the launch of the new KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down.
Yes, TRIPLE.
KFC Launches Cheesy Zinger Triple Down
Remember the KFC Cheesy Zinger Double Down released in early June?
Imagine that, except even bigger, cheesier, and more crunch—that’s the Cheesy Zinger Triple Down.
“A world-first…triple-decker all-meat-no-buns creation loaded with glorious #KFCheese,” KFC describes the Cheesy Zinger Triple Down in its press release.
The fast-food chain explains that this new creation of theirs will be “bigger, meatier and cheesier”.
Indeed the KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down is described as comprising “a tower of three signature Zinger fillets, a slice of cheese, crispy turkey bacon, mayonnaise, and loaded with the signature #KFCheese sauce.”
Mmmmm. Finger licking’ good indeed.
Juliana Lim, Senior Director of Marketing & Food Innovation at KFC Singapore said, “With the launch of KFC Cheesy Zinger Double Down earlier this month, we saw fans stacking their Double Downs and sharing the creation on social media. We could feel the yearning for more, and so the KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down was created to give the people what they want! Now, we triple dare you to take a bite.”
Earlier in June when the KFC Cheesy Zinger Double Down made its debut, customers shared photos on social media, sharing how they stacked numerous Double Downs to make a multi-layered, humungous burger.
By the way, try not to do that again because Health Promotion Board might want to know your location if you post it on social media.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
The Cheesy Zinger Triple Down will be available for a mere 10 days at all KFC outlets, from 24 June to 3 July 2021. It will be available for Dine-in, Takeaway and KFC Delivery.
Along with the à la carte items, KFC is also releasing two Cheesy Zinger Triple Down meals.
The KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down Meal, priced at $11.20, will include one Cheesy Zinger Triple Down, medium fries, and one regular Pepsi Black. Meanwhile, the KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down Box, priced at $13, will include one Cheesy Zinger Triple Down, one piece of chicken, one regular fries, one regular serving of whipped potato, and one regular Pepsi Black.
The KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down Challenge
As you might have already guessed from its name, KFC’s new burger features three layers of thick, juicy Zinger fillets.
It also means, that the Cheesy Zinger Triple Down is huge.
To anyone who manages to fit all three layers into their mouth, you have my utmost respect.
It seems like KFC has had the same sentiments, because the company has also issued the KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down Challenge to their fans.
Challenging fans to take the biggest first bite that they can muster, KFC is encouraging fans to upload a picture of them doing the KFC Cheesy Zinger Triple Down Challenge via Facebook and Instagram stories.
Don’t forget to tag KFC Singapore’s official Facebook and Instagram when taking part in the challenge!
Lasting from 24 June to 1 July, the challenge will reward the first 100 participants with a $5 e-voucher for their courage.
What are you waiting for?
Make sure to open wide, and try not to dislocate your jaw!
