This sent the people who hold pink IC into an “existential crisis” as we exploded on social media.
Not because it’s the first time it happened, but because it still happened after Crazy Rich Asians was screened.
First, the New York Post said that we were a part of China. Then in 2018 when the America-North Korea Summit happened, the United States put down the hotel location as “JW Marriott, Singapore, Malaysia”.
From China to Malaysia to nothing. If this is not the ultimate slap in the face, what is?
The chart was initially a chart to mock President Trump and the White House’s inability to keep themselves virus free.
However, the chart has since been taken down completely, and this line accompanies the end of the article:

A quick Google search will show that Singapore is a “sovereign island city-state in maritime Southeast Asia”. Sovereign meaning one government that has complete control over its geographical location.
And here’s something for the Singaporeans: do you know that Donald Trump has a long feud with CNN and has repeatedly claimed that they’re fake news?
