The Nasi Lemak flavour’s made of coconut ice cream with toppings that include sambal ikan bilispeanutsrice puffs and cucumber slices.

A valiant warrior when it comes to spiciness? By all means, go ahead and ask for double-spicy if you want. But if you’ve read our article on piles, you might not be so keen on that extra topping.

Alternatively, you can get the ice-cream with a mouth-watering pandan waffle bowl, though keep in mind that there will be an additional S$1.90 charge.

But with all things considered, that sounds pretty worth it.

Chendol flavour

On the other hand, the Chendol flavour consists of coconut ice cream with green Chendol jellies, red beans, atap seeds and gula melaka.

Not betting, but I bet that it will taste richer than the usual Chendol dessert with shaved ice as the base.

The plain waffle bowl will cost another S$1.20. Image: Cold Stone Creamery

So… which one should I get?

Of course, the best option would be to go for both, but if your wallet’s in the way I would say that the Chendol’s a safer bet.

Now, I’m not saying that the Nasi Lemak option will taste like armpit hair stained with sweat. Rather, it’s the simple consideration that as far as dessert options go, Chendol’s a far safer designation, considering its history as a dessert staple and all.

But hey, don’t let me stop you from trying that Nasi Lemak ice-cream out. After all, people once condemned the idea of a Nasi Lemak Burger, and look how that turned out.
