In this day and age, we may sometimes find ourselves forgetting the most important things in life.

However, there are always bound to be touching moments that tug at our heartstrings and remind us of what matters most in life.

And this is one of those moments.

Daughter of Thai Man Refused to Eat Birthday Meal

On 19 March, Facebook user Panumas B. Sroitong shared a heartwarming sight that happened in Wang Chan District, Thailand.

In the post, various photos from CCTV footage of a shabu-shabu restaurant were attached.

Based on reports by Thai media, a father had apparently brought his daughter to the restaurant as a birthday treat.

However, due to the fact that the father only had enough money to pay for one meal, he told his daughter to enjoy her lunch while he would wait for her outside the restaurant.

Upon hearing this, the young daughter said that she would not eat at the restaurant unless her father would as well.

Aww.

The duo then got up and prepared to exit the restaurant when the staff stopped them.

Staff Overheard and Planned a Surprise

Unbeknownst to the father-daughter duo, a restaurant staff had overheard their conversation and informed her boss about it.

The restaurant owner then decided to offer both of them a free meal at the restaurant.

Additionally, she also instructed her staff to purchase a birthday cake for the girl so that they could help her celebrate her birthday.

Awwwww. There truly is still good in the world, regardless of how bleak things may seem.

Based on an article by Bangkok Post, the owner said she “saw how much he loved his daughter”.

The incident was captured in the Facebook post, where both the owner and staff were seen to be in tears.

After the meal, the duo left the restaurant after thanking the restaurant staff and owner. Security cameras also managed to capture the father and daughter embracing each other in a hug outside of the restaurant.

Really, this story is starting to be sweeter than any K-Drama I’ve watched.
