Din Tai Fung has recently launched a new indulgent treat — the Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao.
Now a permanent dish on their menu, this decadent treat was inspired by the viral Din Tai Fung Chocolate Lava Xiao Long Bao TikTok hack in the U.S.
Din Tai Fung’s Culinary R&D team in Singapore reimagined the original chocolate lava bao, creating a mouth-watering combination of traditional Xiao Long Bao and irresistible mochi-chocolate filling.
This fusion of tradition and innovation combines a chewy mochi texture on the outside with warm chocolate lava on the inside, offering a hypnotic contrast that is a must-try for dessert connoisseurs.
From now to 31 December 2024, Din Tai Fung will be offering complimentary house-made Sea Salt Cream (u.p S$3.00++) to pair with the Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao, while servings last.
That’s not all.
Din Tai Fung has also brought back its crowd-favourite Steamed Chocolate Lava Bun from now till 31 December 2024.
These buns feature a rich, molten chocolate centre that is made with 80% premium chocolate, enveloped in a soft, fluffy cocoa bun.
The airy, delicate texture is achieved through the use of lao mian (traditional sourdough), a time-honoured technique that gives it its signature lightness.
Made with the finest ingredients (including flour air-flown from Taiwan), each bun is topped with a golden brushstroke.
Both the Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao and Steamed Chocolate Lava Buns are currently available at all Din Tai Fung restaurants for dine-in or takeaway.
Throughout November, an exclusive delivery option will be available through GrabFood, followed by availability on Foodpanda and Deliveroo starting 1 December.
