Don don don, donki~ Don don, donki~
Those living in Yishun will soon hear this familiar tune in Northpoint City, as Don Don Donki opens its 13th outlet there.
Here’s what to expect from our favourite store.
Ready by End-2022
Rumours about a new Don Don Donki store have been making the rounds for months now, and the Japanese store finally confirmed it yesterday (22 July).
They announced on Instagram that their new store will be located in Basement One of Northpoint City’s North Wing.
The store hoarding there also shows that it will be ready by end-2022.
Freebies and VIP Passes to be Won
You can win free welcome goodie bags and VIP passes to skip queues by participating in their pre-opening activity.
Help their mascots, DONPEN and DONKO, to spot their safari friends in the store’s hoarding boards. Under their Instagram post, comment what safari animals you’ve spotted together with the hashtag #DONKINPC. Afterwards, share the Instagram post and tag three friends.
This contest ends on 31 July at 2359, where 10 lucky winners will be selected. Results will be announced on 1 August.
Alternatively, you can sign up as a Donki member for free to receive more exclusive deals and discounts.

More (and Better) Stores to Come
Recently, Donki has revamped its Food Hall at City Square Mall, with the addition of Tomita Seimai.
First introduced at their Orchard Central outlet, the stall offers rice milling services and freshly made onigiri. These onigiris are super popular and often sell out before the day ends, so head over early to try one!
Additionally, there will probably be even more Donki stores to come. Back in September 2021, their store strategy division director Mak Hanawa shared that they have plans to open 20 to 30 stores islandwide.
Yay to more of our favourite bargain store!
