A wise young man raised his hand then, asking, “How about toys, my dear wise one?”
The wise old man stroked his white beard and shook this heard so slowly, people wondered if there was some connection problem. “No. Toys will always be there.”
“Why?”
“Because I said so. And because whenever there’s a toy sale, there’d be tons of people as they make good gifts compared to an iPad.”
Fast forward to 2019, and a toy sale, as predicted by the wise old man, has surfaced.

Over in the US, Toy”R”Us has become part of history, and Geoffrey, the mascot for Toy”R”Us, has found a new job at a children’s hospital.
(No, I kid you not, the iconic statue in Toy”R”Us HQ has moved to Bristol-Meyers Squibb Children’s Hospital)
But here in Singapore, it’s still bringing joy to kids, and for the next few days, it’s going to bring joy to adults, too.
