Love is a rather fickle thing.
On one hand, it could be the most blissful thing you could ever experience.
And yet on the other hand…
It could also make you One Punch Man.
21YO Drunk Man Punched 2 Vehicles After Quarreling with Ex-Girlfriend
On 9 December 2021, 21-year-old Liang Minglun was having drinks with a friend when he began going vast his usual tolerance level.
It probably did not help that just days before, he had broken up with his girlfriend.
His friend eventually sent him home, but he was in a rather bad state. Drunk, he ended up falling down in the corridor of his HDB estate at Bedok North.
When his ex-girlfriend learnt of his situation, she called him and even volunteered to meet him.
Alas, she did not turn up alone.
With another guy in tow, she approached Liang. This, however, did not seem to appeal to Liang, who requested that they head down to the carpark to “negotiate”.
Liang’s two friends also followed.
Despite attempts at negotiations, a positive result never really materialised. Sad and angered, Liang proceeded to vent his anger on his father’s cars, punching them with his bare hands.
Blood ended up flowing freely from his hands.
Charged
As a result of the misdemeanour, the Institute of Technical Education student ended up being charged with misconduct and violating the Prevention of Harassment Act.
He was sentenced to 15 months of probation and surveillance, as well as 40 hours of community service.
He was also not allowed from leaving his house from 10 pm to 6 am, and his parents had to fork out a security deposit of S$5,000 to ensure good performance on his part.
Drunk
Unfortunately, drunken antics aren’t all that uncommon.
Earlier last year, a 23-year-old Chinese national working as a deliveryman was fined S$400 after pleading guilty to one count of wilful trespass.
The man, Li Nan, had climbed over a wall while drunk to get into a Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC).
Officers found him at about 1:15am on 27 Jan in the compound and arrested him.
Apparently, he had downed several alcoholic drinks earlier and had trespassed because he wanted to get an update on a case he had reported two days earlier about his stolen necklace and mobile phone.
