Most of us would have been complaining about PE, NAPFA and for the NSFs, IPPT. But these elderly Singaporeans have just made me want to take back all my complaining. Just take a look at this Facebook page we saw.
These elderly Singaporeans are known as Team Strong Silvers, a group of people dedicated to encouraging senior citizens and all of us to maintain a healthy lifestyle and age actively. And they are super cool.
They have Flex Friday when I have Fries Friday.
Like seriously. On Fridays, they post videos of themselves training their muscles through different equipment such as chain dips and Gym Rings.
What is most inspiring about them is that all their posts are to encourage others to lead an active lifestyle; it is never used for them to brag about their abilities. I think we can all agree that there are some people who can learn from this example.
They go to CrossFit gyms.
*Jaw drops* It sounds crazy but this team has a hell lot of dedication. They even lift weights put on an Olympic bar! This is all because they believe in challenging themselves and by doing so, they hope to encourage senior citizens especially, to follow suit.
They are hot.
They may not be your Zac Efron lookalike but they are your Singaporean George Clooney. And have the body to make up for it. Plus, their charisma and hard work make them attractive too. After all, no one is too old to look good right?
So, let’s show our support for Team Strong Silvers and follow their example to lead an active lifestyle. No more fries Friday! (sobs)
