Singaporeans are crazy about bubble tea. That’s a fact.
In fact, we’re so crazy about Bubble Teas a local bakery decided to make bubble tea bread and cakes.
We gave it a try and you can read the review here: Breadtalk Bubble Tea Pearl Bun Review: Winning Combination That’s Not Overly Sweet
And when we wrote about this new bubble tea shop at Bishan selling affordable Insta-worthy bubble tea, people went crazy over it (disclaimer: that is a sponsored content, but anyways).
Back then when we wrote the article, we were wondering if there’ll be more refreshing and unique things happening in the bubble tea scene.
And yep, it seems like waves are starting up again in Singapore.
Have you heard of Tiger Sugar bubble tea?
If you’re familiar with food pictures on Instagram, you’d definitely have seen some pictures of their IG-worthy drinks on the platform.
Instagram-worthy, no?
In fact, this Taiwan bubble tea shop is so popular that at their Taiwan and Hong Kong outlets, you’d have to queue for a minimum of an hour to get the drink.
Guess what, bubble tea lovers?
This iconic brand is opening up their first shop in Singapore this November!
Tiger Sugar Singapore Opening at City Hall
According to a post on their Singapore Facebook page, they’re gearing up to open their first outlet in the City Hall area in November 2018.
And according to a person who had tried the drink for themselves in Taipei, Tiger Sugar’s bubble tea doesn’t just look good but taste good too.
Their Tiger Sugar Boba Fresh Milk are unique in the sense that the brown sugar pearls are served slightly warm, keeping them soft and chewy.
And the warm pearls give an interesting contrast to the cold milk. If you haven’t guessed, the “tiger stripes” you see on their drinks are brown sugar syrup mixed into fresh, cold milk.
Excited?
The exact date of opening isn’t known to Singaporeans yet, but there are people already making appointments to chiong there.
And of course, the most important question of the day:
Fingers crossed, yeah?
And They’re Also Hiring Right Now
Always wanted to work at a world-famous bubble tea chain? Now’s your chance to do so.
While they did not specify the positions available, they did list down their requirements like Hogwart’s four houses.
You must be:
- Strong at heart (Hufflepuff)
- Brave as a tiger (Gryffindor)
- Unafraid to learn (Ravenclaw)
- And generous in Spirit (Slytherin-ish…?)
But the opening’s at least a month away. So if you’re craving for something unique right now, we heard the LiHo outlets at Bugis+, Suntec and VivoCity are selling salted egg bubble tea.
According to LiHo themselves, it tastes like liquid custard bun.
Awesome.
