What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen someone sell for big money?
Personally, it was probably that you can sell your faeces in exchange for up to USD 13,000 a year. And save lives while at it.
For this woman however, she took things to a whole new level.
Woman Sells Her Farts in Jars
US content creator Stephanie Matto posted a YouTube video on Wednesday (15 Dec) and revealed that she sold her farts in jars.
At the time of writing, that video has garnered over 59K views.
Yes, you’ve read that correctly. Not darts, nor carts, but farts.
She then explained that it was initially supposed to be a “limited edition product launch” on her Unfiltrd account. However, it eventually led to one of her most profitable ventures.
Unfiltrd is a NSFW platform, just in case you were wondering.
Additionally, Matto also narrated how she sold close to 175 jars after just 20 people expressed their interest in purchasing.
Figured Out the “Perfect Formula”
In the video, Matto claims that she feels like the “Einstein of fart jars”. She then carried on by saying that she has mastered the “perfect formula” for making the most fart under the least amount of time and pain.
So many questions at this point. How does a perfect fart even smell like?
Matto also shared what food she consumes to produce an ideal fart jar.
Here are some of which that she has recommended:
- Black bean salad
- Coca Cola
- Brussels sprouts
- Protein muffin
The formula for success is finally revealed.
Made About S$137K from Selling Fart Jars
If you think fart jars consist of just farts, well you’re wrong. At least for Matto’s fart jars, they also include some flower petals and a handwritten note.
Each jar costs US$1,000 but is currently on sale for 50% off. According to her, she has successfully sold close to 175 jars thus far.
What’s a common trait with these 175 people? They all have a similar weird kink. No prizes for those who’ve got it right.
Backlash Faced
For something as abstract as this, certain doubts will not come as a surprise. Matto did respond to the people who feel that her fart jars are priced way too steeply.
To the criticisms, she snapped back by saying, “Walk a mile in my shoes. You try to make farts every single day, multiple times a day. It’s not easy.”
P.S. Even NSYNC member Lance Bass was just as confused. He commented on her original post with a “Wait what”.
