First Half of Nov 2019 Is Going to be Rainy; Temp Could Still Go Up to 35°C with a Slight Haze

Here’s a fun fact: last month was a goody month because the rainfall was finally above average, which meant October killed the haze.

Kind of.

And this wet weather isn’t going to stop as November beckons.

According to the weatherman, which now has a YouTube channel with a whopping 92 subscribers, the weather for the first half of November is going to very Singaporean.

Here, take a watch:

There would be rain in the afternoon (thank God) on six to eight days, though on one or two days, they might come in the late morning (thanks, Obama).

Incidentally, there might be one or two days whereby there would be thundery showers in the predawn or early morning so be prepared to be late for one day.

Not exactly goody news for Grab drivers, but anyways.

Now, here’s a bad news for us Grab passengers: on a few mornings, there might be a slight haze, but it’s not due to fires from Indonesia but more of domestic pollutants (like your inconsiderable neighbor smoking or your colleague farting) being unable to disperse out of our tiny island due to the weak winds. But come late morning, the winds would come back and blow it back to Indonesia away.

So don’t panic if you wake up to a slight haze in the next two weeks. And don’t use this as an excuse to skip your morning runs.

The daily temperature will be between 24°C and 34°C. On some days, however, it can reach up to 35°C.

Suffice to say, the first half of November is just like October lah. Sometimes I wonder why we can’t write a year’s worth of weather forecast instead.

Clementi the Hottest in October

I completely concur, because though our office is at Bukit Batok, it’s rather close to Clementi.

Last month on the 13th, Clementi recorded the highest temperature at a whopping 35.7°C. If BuffLord95 had been there, we’d have seen roasted pork on the pathway in Clementi.

Interestingly enough, the northern and eastern part of Singapore rain the most in October, with Admiralty and Tanjong Katong being the wettest area. Doesn’t sound right but you get the gist.

So, would the west be hot and east be cool again in November?
