KFC Coming Out with Flossy Crunch Chicken & Reducing Price of Cheese Fries by 54%

Since COVID-19 hit, fast-food chains haven’t been coming out with new items as often as they did in the past. But come tomorrow (21 July), we’d finally be able to try out a new item, the KFC Flossy Crunch Chicken.

KFC decided to do something about National Day, and while we’ve suggested using hand sanitiser to fry their chicken, they’ve dismissed our suggestion and came out with this instead:

Flossy Fried Chicken.

Or, to be more specific if you’re one who always need to ensure names are called correctly, the Flossy Crunch Chicken.

It’s supposedly not just a topping on the chicken.

According to the Colonel who doesn’t seem to pass his IPPT, the new KFC Flossy Crunch Chicken is a combination of their hot & crispy fried chicken, coated in fragrant curry and local spices, topped with a special spicy-sweet chicken floss.

In other words, it’s not coated with the usual mayonnaise floss you find in BreadTalk’s bread.

The Colonel who’s always wearing Number 1 also described this new dish in the most food-influencer manner: “As the curry and spices coat the piping hot fried chicken, the rich bold flavours seep in the chicken, ensuring every bite is an umami bomb. Infused with spicy dried shrimp, the fluffy chicken floss gets a flavour boost, adding a sweet and fiery kick to taste as it melts in your mouth…So yummy, not even the last bit goes to waste as you pick up the remaining cotton textured floss in a pinching motion and send it straight into your mouth.”

In other words, if you’ve an allergy to seafood, then this isn’t for you since it contains shrimps.

The new item will be available tomorrow (21 July 2020) at all KFC restaurants except KFC Singapore Zoo.
