You’ve probably seen many GetGo cars on the roads recently, especially during the long weekends.
A week ago, a video of one GetGo car mounting a divider at Marymount at 45-degree angle off the road went viral.
And now, another GetGo car has gone viral.
GetGo Driver Allegedly Got Into Accident on Expressway & Ran Off From Car After That
On 15 July 2022, this accidently allegedly happened on the BKE exit to SLE.
In the video, a GetGo car could be seen making a slow lane change to the right with its signal lights on.
However, a truck was on the other lane and even if the truck was on the GetGo car’s blind spot, the driver should be able to see the truck as it’s a long vehicle.
But, for some reason, the GetGo car continued its path, and collided with the truck.
The impact was so strong, the GetGo car looked like it had a shock as it “jumped” up a little.
All the vehicles then stopped, which means it’s just another Friday, right?
No.
According to the post, which appears to be contributed by the driver who was rear-ended by the GetGo car, the driver and passengers fled from the scene immediately after that, leaving the car there.
I don’t know what is more shocking: the driver thinking that he could get away with this, or these people running on the expressway like it’s a running track.
The person also claimed that that GetGo didn’t file any accident for the vehicle: in Singapore, for any accident claims, drivers must file a report within 24 hours with their insurance companies. The person alleged that GetGo also refused to “release the driver’s details nor compensate my damage.”
Goody Feed has contacted GetGo for their comment, and will update this article once they’ve responded.
