What do you get when you combine those two factors?
Absolute happiness.
Or at least, that will be the case for the durian lovers out there.
Here is where you can satisfy your cravings for that pungent yet delicious fruit this durian season.
Giant Singapore Is Offering a Durian Sale at $2 per Durian
The durian season is hitting us again, and the durian fans amongst us are undoubtedly waiting impatiently till we can tuck into this delicacy once again.
However, good durians, especially the popular Mao Shan Wang variety, often cost a bomb and can burn a hole in your wallet.
This is where Giant comes in.
It announced yesterday on its Facebook page that from now till 22 June 2023, Giant is offering a “wide selection” of durians. Some of the durians will cost as low as $2 per durian.
You read that right. It’s $2 per durian.
In the times when some stalls are selling Mao Shan Wang durians for between $8 to $12 per kg, this deal from Giant sounds like an absolute steal.
The varieties that Giant advertises as available include Red Prawn, Mao Shan Wang, Black Pearl, Golden Phoenix, D101 and D13.
This deal is valid between 12 pm and 10 pm at Giant Tampines Hypermarket.
For those who are driving and not afraid of stinking up your car boot with the lingering durian fragrance, you may enjoy free parking at the location. There are also free shuttle bus services provided outside Tampines MRT station to fetch you to the Giant hypermarket.
