Girl Watches Drama in Jay Chou Concert
On 24 Aug, a video was uploaded onto Weibo that went viral almost immediately. The video was taken at a Jay Chou concert in Qingdao, China.
Just as he was singing one of his latest songs, Waiting For You (等你下课), the video captured this girl sitting calmly in her seat while everybody else was waving their glow sticks enthusiastically to the song.
And it turns out that she was watching a video on her phone. With her earphones jammed into her ears.
Which kind of defeat the purpose of going to a concert, don’t you think?

When the cameraman zoomed in for a clearer view, he saw that she was watching a Chinese drama series, Story of Yanxi Palace (延禧攻略).

When a video like that goes up to the internet, you can be sure that people are going to get angry.
Especially fans of our handsome Jay Chou there.
Number one, that’s disrespectful to the artist performing on stage. There he is, belting his lungs out for his ever-loving fans and trying to give everybody a good time.
Meanwhile, here you are, watching a drama that can be watched at any time.

And two, the ticket is wasted on the girl. There are many people who couldn’t get a ticket for themselves, and this girl here doesn’t even appreciate the opportunity.
“I’ve been trying so hard to get tickets to Jay Chou’s concert, she should have given them to me instead.”

Jay Chou Was in Singapore Recently
And since we’re on the topic of Jay Chou, apparently he was in Singapore recently and paid a visit to what is allegedly his favourite Bak Kut Teh place in Singapore.
According to sources, the founder of the Founder BKT (that’s a mouthful) has known Jay Chou for a few years now, and the megastar would usually visit to eat BKT every time he’s in Singapore.
