How It Happened
According to reports from Henan’s Da He Bao and other media outlets, this unusual medical emergency occurred in the northeastern province, Jilin on 18 Mar 2025.
The couple was reportedly at home watching viral videos of men putting women’s hands in their mouths as a joke.
Finding it amusing, they decided to try it themselves.
The woman asked her boyfriend to open his mouth as wide as possible, and successfully inserted her hand into his mouth.
However, when they finished filming, she discovered her hand was trapped inside his mouth!
The trend they were attempting to recreate has gained popularity on several social media platforms in China. Many young couples film these stunts to gain followers and engagement online.
What was meant to be a quick, humorous clip for their social media account quickly turned into a painful and embarrassing situation.

Initially, the couple wasn’t concerned, but after multiple failed attempts to free her hand, they began to worry.

With the boyfriend’s entire mouth filled with her fist for an extended period, his face gradually turned red, and saliva continuously dripped from the corners of his mouth.
Left with no other options, the pair headed to a hospital for professional help, attracting surprised stares from passersby along the way.
Medical professionals at the hospital faced an uncommon challenge.
According to Yahoo Taiwan, the doctor played some music to help the man relax and injected some muscle relaxants on his face.
It took approximately 20 minutes for the doctor to remove the fist from the mouth.
