Yes, it’s finally happened.
You no longer have to cancel group dinners with your best friends, or have awkward one-on-one meals where the only thing louder than the clang of plates is the silence between you two.
Yes, from Tuesday (23 Nov), all fully vaccinated people will be able to dine out in groups of up to five at hawker centres and coffee shops.
However, not all eateries have been approved for this new rule.
Here’s a List of Hawker Centres & Coffee Shops That Allow 5 Vaccinated People to Dine In From 23 Nov
See, in order to open up to dining groups of five, eateries need to have the ability to control access and conduct checks on their customers’ vaccination status.

Other coffee shops can reopen to groups of five from different households once they have dedicated entry points and are able to control access to their premises, among other things.
Vaccination Status Checks
At hawker centres, patrons will need to show their vaccination status on the TraceTogether app, or scan their TraceTogether token.
They will then receive a sticker for identification.
Meanwhile, coffee shops operators must check the vaccination status of their patrons at entry points.
Those who are unvaccinated can only purchase take away food, with exceptions being children aged 12 and below and those who have recently recovered from COVID-19.
Gatherings of Five Allowed
The restrictions on social gatherings have also been eased, meaning people can now gather in groups of up to five.
Nevertheless, the authorities advised unvaccinated people to be cautious by staying at home as much as possible to stay safe.
In announcing the easing of measures, Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong explained that our COVID-19 situation has stabilised, with infection numbers decreasing.
