Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls: it’s time to tear your resignation letter that you’ve penned a while back.

Unless you’ve bought a Toto ticket from Bukit Batok MRT Station NTUC FairPrice, that is, for the Hong Bao Draw 2020.

And most importantly, you’ve bought these number:

10, 15, 16, 21, 24, 49 and 2

Only 1 Big Winner This Year

Last year, Yishun got into the news for a reason you’d not have expected: both Group 1 winners of the Hong Bao Draw 2019 bought their tickets from Yishun.

And so, each one of them went off with $6.8 million.

This year, Bukit Batok said this to Yishun: “Only $6.8 million? Hold my beer.”

Only one winner won the grand prize in Hong Bao Draw 2020, which means he or she or it would pocket the entire $12 million.

Reader Bao: The Goody Feed office is at Bukit Batok, could it be one of you guys?

Not sure yet, Mr Bao, but we’ll know on Monday when someone throws a letter at our boss. Or if Goody Feed suddenly closes down because the boss’s the winner.

Apparently, the winner didn’t get the numbers from a dream, but from a QuickPick.

For Group 2, there were 20 winners who would each take about SGD$100k. These 20 lucky winners got 5 numbers and the additional number correct.

For the rest of us?

Over 780K People Won $10

There are a total of 784,586 Group 7 winners, in which you match 3 numbers (excludes additional number).

I’ve yet to check my tickets but I’m sure I’m one of the 784,586 people.

And guess what? I got my colleague to buy it for me from Bukit Batok MRT Station FairPrice outlet. Damn it. I did think of buying 10, 15, 16, 21, 24, 49 and 2, but decided against it because I thought QuickPick is easier.

FairPrice Outlet is a Rather Hidden Outlet

Unless you’re a Goody Feed cat, you probably won’t know that there’s an NTUC FairPrice at Bukit Batok MRT Station.

Heck, even if you’re a Goody Feed cat, you might not know about the supermarket.

After all, once you exit the station, you won’t see it anywhere even if you walk a distance.

The outlet is behind the station, and you’d have to walk all the way to the back of the station to see it. You can’t even see it from afar as its shopfront is directly in front of a condo.

Also, it’s a rather small outlet and is often so packed, I’d rather go to the Cold Storage in West Mall to buy my stuff.

In other words, with our armchair detective skills, we can conclude one thing: a person who’s just become $12 million richer either lives in Bukit Batok, or works in Bukit Batok.

Stay tuned as we’ll be keeping a lookout for suspicious people who look rich all of a sudden.
