Even after the Korean wave hit Singapore, Singaporeans are still hungry for Japanese stuff.
From discount stores
To Japanese fairs
And everything Sakura, Singaporeans go ra-ra over them.
If you feel yourself nodding to whatever I’ve said in this article, then you’re going to love me even more for telling you what’s up.
I’m talking Sakura-flavoured ice cream.
Yes. Sakura. Ice. Cream.
How much would you pay for a cone of Sakura ice cream? Not much, maybe around 5 bucks, right?
That’s about how much it’ll cost at a Japanese fair, or so my Japanophile colleague bufflord 94 tells me.
But how much would you pay for a cone of Sakura ice cream that smells, taste and looks good?
$8?
Guess what?
You can have it for just $2.90. No joke.
Two MOS Burger Outlets Selling IG-Worthy Sakura Ice Cream
MOS Burger Singapore recently announced on their Facebook page that two MOS Burger outlets in Singapore are now selling Sakura ice cream.
Or, from what we see, Sakura-flavoured soft-serve.
The outlets are located at Hillion Mall and Our Tampines Hub (both are relatively new).
So if you stay near these two places, good for you.
Here’s how it looks like in real life:
So. Pretty.
So How Does it Taste?
According to the Instagram user @funny_foodhunter, the ice cream was milky, not too sweet and doesn’t taste like strawberry.
“Woke up to the new year without breakfast, this is first food of 2019 I’m trying out(on an empty stomach). Sakura Soft Serve Ice Cream New from MOS Burger. At first, i thought it would taste like strawberry but there wasn’t a hint of it at all. A rich milky taste though…sweet but not too sweet. So this is how Sakura taste like.”
In other words, you’ll probably not be expecting the taste when you bit into it. But it’s there anyway and it’s really pretty good.
Well, now I’m just hoping that they’ll be progressively rolling all these out to other outlets within Singapore. This Sakura ice cream’s too good not to share with the rest of Singapore, right?
Anyways, here’s where you need to go if you decide you can’t wait for MOS Burger to bring it to you:
Hillion Mall
17 Petir Rd #B2-60, Singapore 678278

Our Tampines Hub
505 Tampines Avenue 5 #01-85, Singapore 529652
Nearest MRT Station: Tampines MRT Station (Must walk for about 5 minutes)
You’re welcome! 😉
