Are you afraid of insects? So much so that you want to direct a blow torch their way and hope they are not fire-proof?

If you are hoping to not live so fearfully for the rest of your life, we have some great news for you.

As a wise old man once said, “The first step is always the hardest especially if the first step involves the fearful to carry the feared.”

These Insect-Shaped Bags Will Help People Overcome the Fear of Insects

In order for you to get over your fear of something, you have to understand that irrational fear more. This time, the process of understanding involves you carrying a larger version of your fear around.

A Japanese artist, Amanojaku to Hesomagari, have created various creepy animal-inspired bag that you can purchase to help cure your entomophobia (extreme fear of insects).

These large insect bags are made of leather such as cowhide, and they come in various sizes from a book bag to a portable pouch.

These bags and pouches were so detailed that you can even see the feelers of the insects

Why were these bags created?

According to an interview with Bored Panda, these bags were created to spread the joy of these unfairly hated creatures. The artist felt that these creatures were misjudged. Because of that, there were no hyper-realistic items of creepy-crawlies available on the market.

Thus, he decided to create them, and each piece takes between three days to three weeks to finish.

He also paid special attention to their legs and feelers to enhance their quality.

Aside from creepy crawlies, Amanojaku also create animal bags such as frogs, naked mole rats and more.

They are Not Cheap

These hyper-realistic items are not cheap as well. A 30cm cat flea pouch can cost ¥298,000 (S$3,539) while a discounted jumping spider goggles can set you back by ¥42,000 (S$498).

The price does not even include the shipping charges (S$35++).

So if you are ready to set aside your irrational animosity with insects through the form of a bag or a pouch, do fill up your piggy bag first.
