If you’re a Singaporean guy and never heard of Jamie Yeo before, well…
YOU’RE MISSING OUT BRO.
Who could ever forget her stellar performance as Mo Wan Wan’s rebel daughter in Holland V?
And she’s like the most versatile person ever: aside from our small screens, she’s also had stints in the radio and modelling industries!
And let’s not forget that she’s one hot mama.
She divorced her second husband, Thorsten Nolte, just last year, and while it might have been a sad occasion for her, it spelled otherwise for the rest of the male population in Singapore.
“Yes, she’s back on the market,” said every hot-blooded guy in town.
And for a while every Singaporean guy did have a chance, because she was actually on Tinder.
Interestingly, Tinder did work (when did it ever, apart from kiss-and-tell sessions?) for her, because she met her eventual husband, Rupert, on the dating app.
A stork flew by to deliver a present
Guess we have a few well wishes on the cards, because Jamie just gave birth to an adorable boy!
Well technically she gave birth ages ago, on 29 August 2017, but she only disclosed it on 24 September 2017, the day her newborn went home for the first time.
Her second child, Luke, had spent three weeks at the Singapore General Hospital.
Interestingly, the name Luke is also the name of another popular DJ’s kid. Lin Peifen, Y.E.S. 933 DJ, has a SG50 boy.
Now, back to Jamie Yeo, a DJ from Gold 905.
On a social media post, she wrote, “Arrived 29 August, a little early at 35 weeks, but healthy and at a respectable 2.35kg.”
“Massive thanks also to the medical staff especially the ever cheerful nurses in the maternity and labour wards, whose experience helped get us through a month of hospitalisation for Mummy and got baby Luke to a safe place for delivery.”
“Now we’re finally looking forward to bonding time at home for all the family. Thanks in advance for all the well-wishes and apologies if we don’t get back to you all as we adjust to sleep deprivation and numerous diaper changes!!”
Good luck, Jamie and Rupert! The diapers won’t exactly smell like Chanel perfume, but you will get used to it. And you know what they say, “Sleep is for the weak!”
So yeah, all the best for your marital life!
In the meantime, the rest of the guys will be busy swiping on Tinder.
You never know; Jeanette Aw and Dawn Yeoh might be on the app. #fingerscrossed
