JB To Have Open-Concept Mall With B.I.G Supermarket By End-2019

I apologise in advance to all the Malaysians out there, but my following statement might come across as a tad bit offensive:

Right now, Malaysia’s definitely the place to go for a vacation, considering how everything’s so damn cheap.

Indeed, with the Ringgit showing no signs of bouncing back just yet, and the revelation that it just hit a new low two months ago, Malaysia is, slowly but surely, becoming the Value Dollar store of countries to eager Singaporeans.

And really, with the upcoming Open-Concept shopping centre Toppen mall set to open by the end of this year as well, we’re calling it;

Malaysia will be Singapore’s number one travel destination this end of the year.

According to Mothership, the next shopping destination set in Tebrau City, Johor Bahru (JB), Toppen mall, will be opening its doors by end 2019.

Priding itself as the first of its kind in South Malaysia’s city of Johor Bahru, the shopping centre will be the heart and hub of the community as the one-stop destination for shopping, leisure and meeting point for family and friends.

Visitors can expect four levels of shops and a rooftop space, with retail, dining, leisure and entertainment options available for potential patrons of the mall.

What’s inside?

Big brands like Harvey Norman, B.I.G supermarket and TGV cinemas will be amongst the list of tenants for retail and entertainment.

As for the F & B side, Starbucks, Kyochon Chicken and Absolute Thai are currently confirmed.

In total, one can expect around 300 tenants to ply their trade in the upcoming mall.

“What about the rooftop space?” you wonder. “What’s there? How will it be? Is that cute guy/girl you always see on the bus single? Is their rooftop space taken?”

Well, while I can’t answer those latter queries of yours, I can help to answer the formal ones. On the rooftop space, one can expect:

• A community garden
• Play areas
• Sporting facilities
• Alfresco dining options
• Cinema
