You’d have known about Jeff Ng, but do you know that he’s still performing?
Last week, he posted Instagram Stories of him performing in a wedding.
Yesterday (30 July), he had his first public performance, and needless to say, since it’s his first outing ever since his saga broke out, the media was there.
And instead of avoiding the media, he went ahead to answer their questions.
Jeff Ng Says He’s ‘Grown Up’ & He’ll Have Performances on National Day
Jeff was one of the performers in the imPAct Open House organised by the People’s Association at Hong Lim Green. It’s a whole day event to commemorate of the third anniversary of imPAct@Hong Lim Green, a community club in Chinatown.
There were other singers performing, and he started singing at from 5pm. Other than singing cover songs, he also sang a song that he wrote himself.
During his performance, he told his audience that he’d have activities, most probably performances, during National Day.
According to Zaobao, there were only about 30 to 40 people watching his performance, and more people started to gather only after they realised it was Jeff on stage.
When the Zaobao reporter approached him, he didn’t shy away from questions. When asked how his mood has been recently, he merely said, “Ok, I’m writing new songs, and a new song will be released next.”
As to whether he’s worried that the saga might affect his popularity, he said, “I’ll let nature take its course. What’s most important is to continue to do good music. This experience has also inspired me to write some new songs.”
He also added that he has learned from the saga, and it has made him appreciate and respect everyone who watch him perform. It has also made him “grow up”.
He then hurried ended the interview, but thanked the reporter politely before leaving.
