His dream car, and now a fan meeting with a soccer star? A wife’s love knows no limits, indeed.
Singaporean YouTuber Jianhao Tan had a private fan meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo on 4 June as part of his birthday gift from his wife, Debbie Soon.
Jianhao Tan’s Early Birthday Gift: Meeting Cristiano Ronaldo
Tan turns 30 on 14 June and met the football star as an early birthday gift over the weekend. On 4 June, Tan took to Instagram to share his meeting with Ronaldo.

Tan wrote, along with photos and videos, “My wife woke me up this morning and brought me to meet @cristiano. I’m starstruck. This is the craziest birthday gift.”
There was even a video of Ronaldo signing a jersey for Tan, with Tan holding it up proudly in another photo.
Soon also shared a reel from the meet, labelling it a “once-in-a-lifetime moment” for the couple.

The reel showed how she “dragged [Tan] out of bed”, with him looking confused to looking excited while waiting for Ronaldo to arrive.
The video also captured the moments the two got their jersey signed and took a picture with Ronaldo.
With all smiles and a peace sign, Tan was undoubtedly the happiest man on earth at that moment.
They also thanked the entrepreneur Kim Lim for arranging the meet-up, or as Soon puts it, “allowing the magic to happen”.
FYI, Ronaldo was in Singapore to support the youth scholarships funded by his friend, the philanthropist Peter Lim, who is also Kim Lim’s father.
And that’s how the dots connect.

Other Expensive Gifts
Gift-giving is the bane of many people’s existences. After all, getting good gifts for people is pretty hard if you don’t know what they need or want.
However, for this couple, good gifts never seem to be something they have a problem with.
For instance, in 2021, Tan surprised Soon with a staycation and a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in gold for their second wedding anniversary. (Which, BTW, costs more than my university fees.)
A few months ago, Soon got Tan his dream car, which cost almost a million dollars. Everyone thought that nothing could top that, but I guess a meeting with Ronaldo is as priceless as a gift can get.
While some have criticised the overwhelmingly expensive gifts, the caption from Soon’s post about the dream car shuts them down: “Why hustle if not for the ones you love”?
Aww.
