As they say, nobody can say thank you like a Canadian. According to a survey on Twitter, Canadians are known to be the friendliest people. However, how true is this generalised statement?
Well, Keanu Reeves, the star of the John Wick film series has proven that the statement to be true.
Keanu Reeves Bought a Rolex for Each Stuntman Who Worked With Him in John Wick 4
Acts of kindness from this 57-year-old Canada born actor, Keanu Reeves, have been circulating around the internet recently.
In celebration of the production wrap on the latest John Wick series movie, John Wick: Chapter 4, he bought his stunt performers some gifts.
Some very expensive gifts, to be specific.
He gave them customised Rolex Submariners each.

Customised Rolex Submariners
According to the Rolex website, an uncustomised Rolex Submariners costs S$11,190. That’s about 3,197 plates of chicken rice.
These customised Rolex Submariners were gifted to the stunt performers as “Thank You” gifts. After all, stunt performers are underappreciated.
Reeves gave it to them on 23 Oct, at Le Bistro Paul Bert in Paris during their production wrap celebration.
At the back of their watches, the message “The John Wick Five [Name of stuntman]. Thank You. Keanu. JW4 2021” was engraved. It was believed that the four stunt performers each had their name engraved on the watch.
Jeremy Marinas, one of the stunt performers called the gift the “best wrap gift ever” on his Instagram.

Not the First Time
If you are thinking, this is merely a case of virtue signalling, that means you don’t understand the term well enough and you should watch this video to understand it better:
In any case, this is not the first time Reeves gave stunt performers extravagant gifts. In 2003, the 12-man stunt team were each given a Harley-Davidson motorcycle as a gift of appreciation.
Depending on the model, a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle can range between S$7,000 to S$40,000.
Reeves felt that they were all in this movie together and he merely wanted to give a bigger thank you to the people that helped him make the movies.
It looks like Canadians are the kindest people in the world after all or at least Reeves is.
