Cheese fries are the hottest thing right now ever since McDonald’s launched their version last week—Cheesy Loaded Fries, topped with chicken bacon bits, sour cream and nacho cheese.
Like most things in life, it sounded great on paper but when we ordered it, well let’s just say that their cheese was not loaded…
We weren’t the only ones who were shook.
Most netizens found the amount of cheese provided was too little and they took their disdain to McDonald’s FB page, leaving a deluge of “constructive criticism”.
I mean, it is called Cheesy LOADED Fries after all.
KFC threw shade
Well, just when you think the kerfuffle has died down, KFC decided to stir the pot by adding its 11 secret herbs and spices in the form of a video.
If you can’t read the caption:
We don’t mean to be cheesy, but the new improved KFC Cheese Fries are the real deal. Our new fries are crispier and tastier than ever, and will have you craving for more! #KFCRealCheeseFries
A very timely post, if you ask me.
Or you can simply call it a coincidence since there is a word for it.
KFC told Marketing that the brand has already improved its fries to a “crispier and tastier version” in late November, with plans to announce it to fans.
The KFC spokesperson said, “McDonald’s recent launch of their cheesy loaded fries has given theirs and our fans an alternative for comparison. Hence, we wanted to make sure that our fans are also shared with the good news of our fries improvement and its enhanced taste.”
Burger King joins in the battle
One of the netizens commented on the aforementioned post by KFC stating that Burger King’s fries are the best.
Striking while the iron is hot, Burger King commented on the thread!
I guess all shots are fired but who will come out as the sole survivor?
