Early Career and Background
Born on 28 March 2002, Kiki Lim Jiow Ting began her entertainment journey at a remarkably young age. Her mother, a housewife, noticed her singing talent when she was just three years old and helped cultivate her interest in performing arts.
By age seven, Lim was already performing as a dancer at Hong Kong star Aaron Kwok’s concert in Singapore.
Her acting career began at age 11 when she landed a leading role in Channel 8’s children’s drama Little Detective. The following year, she appeared in Okto’s Wizard of Honey Street and Suria’s A&E.
After taking a hiatus from acting to focus on her studies at the Institute of Technical Education, where she majored in business, Lim returned to the screen in 2016 with a role in the English-language drama Tanglin.
Mediacorp Journey
Lim’s formal association with Mediacorp began after she emerged as a finalist in Star Search 2019. During her five-year tenure with the company, she built an impressive portfolio of acting credits.
Her notable works include Last Madame (2019), All Around You (2020), A Jungle Survivor (2020), Live Your Dreams (2021), When Duty Calls 2 (2022), Strike Gold (2023), Family Ties (2023), and Kill Sera Sera (2024).
Beyond acting, Lim has established herself as a singer, releasing two extended play (EP) albums.
In her departure announcement, Lim expressed excitement about her future endeavors.
“To everyone who has supported me – thank you. Your encouragement has meant the world to me. As I take this next step, I’m excited to explore new opportunities,” she wrote, concluding with “Here’s to new beginnings”.
Her announcement received supportive comments from fellow celebrities including Chantalle Ng, Zhang Zetong, Seow Sin Nee, Kenneth Chung, and Bonnie Loo. Veteran actress Chen Xiuhuan also wished her well, commenting: “All the best, dearie. Jiayou”.
Lim, who turns 23 later this month, joins veteran actors Chen Liping and Zhang Yaodong who also left Mediacorp in January and February 2025 respectively.
For future collaborations and projects, Lim has invited interested parties to reach out to her directly.
