Singer-songwriter Ejae, the singing voice behind Rumi in Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, married her longtime partner Samuel Kim, also known as Sam Kim, in Seoul on 17 October 2026.
The couple held an outdoor ceremony at Stage 28, a venue on the site of her grandparents’ former home.
A Wedding With Family Connections
In Vogue’s wedding feature, Ejae recalled exploring the garden and walking in the nearby hills with her grandfather as a child. Her brother also married at the venue.
She wore a custom Danielle Frankel gown and family heirloom jewellery, before changing into Zac Posen for the reception. Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami attended the celebrations.
The three singers perform as the voices behind the film’s fictional girl group HUNTR/X. Ejae also co-wrote “Golden”, which they perform together on the soundtrack.
Four Months To Put It Together
The couple originally planned to marry in California in November 2026, but moved the celebration to South Korea and brought it forward by about a month.
They prepared for the wedding in four months, after promotional commitments and awards appearances following KPop Demon Hunters had put planning on hold.
Their relationship began with music. They met at a songwriting session in 2017, becoming both creative collaborators and romantic partners before eventually tying the knot.
