In heralding the Chinese New Year, Lin Chi-ling, the imaginary girlfriend of many 90s guys, has given birth to a baby boy.
And yes, she is 47 when she welcomes a baby boy to her family.
Lin Welcomes Baby Boy
On 31 Jan, the Taiwanese supermodel and actress, and her Japanese actor husband, took to Facebook to announce the news.
While the exact birth date wasn’t disclosed, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the bundle of joy. She wrote, “Thank you for coming into our family. After a long time, our little angel was finally born. She posted a photo of a small hand holding onto the finger of an adult.
Lin’s husband, Akira, also shared the same photo on Facebook, also expressing his adoration: “Our family will be filled with delightful love as we keep hope alive.”
This pregnancy has come as a precious gift—Lin has reportedly been trying to get pregnant since she married Akira on 6 June 2019.
In case you need some filling in, Lin is a model and actress known for acting in movies such as Red Cliff, Love on Credit and The Monkey King 3.
Pregnancy Rumours Come True
The announcement has come after Lin stoked pregnancy rumours on social media in November last year.
Posting a cryptic message, “Thanks for the happiness which comes at the right time,” this has reportedly left several fans wondering if she was pregnant.
However, her manager did not respond to queries from the Taiwanese media.

One Of Many Pregnancy Stories
It seems that many celebrities are announcing their pregnancies—on social media or otherwise. Around October last year, local actress Kimberly Chia posted an Instagram post revealing that she’s married and also pregnant.
Rihanna also made it clear that she’s pregnant with her first child by showing off her baby bump recently.
Nicole Seah—oh, wait, she’s not a celebrity and she’s not announced her pregnancy.
