Logan Paul. Mention this name to people you know and you might just observe their faces warp into shapes of pure disgust. And it’s for a good reason.

Love him or hate him, you’ve gotta admit that he’s got a strong following.

If you have no idea who he is, here is an article my colleague did on Logan Paul and all the bulls*it he did.

I could talk about what happened, but I am actually here to do a follow up regarding Logan Paul. So here’s a summary of what he did.

TL;DR: Logan Paul visited Aokigahara and started making jokes upon seeing a suicide victim.

This is not okay.

Seriously, just go read the article in the link above.

Anyway, ever since then, Logan Paul has returned to YouTube with a video about suicide awareness.

Here’s the link to the video if you’re interested. Personally, I think it’s worth watching:

In the video, Logan Paul met up with a suicide survivor, the founder of the Alo House Recovery Center, and Director of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Towards the end of the video, Logan Paul has also pledged to donate $1 million dollars to suicide prevention groups.

In the video, Logan Paul talked about his ignorance regarding the subject and admitted that he had let people down.

“It’s time to start a new chapter of my life as I continue to educate myself and others on suicide,” said Logan Paul. “I’m humbled and thankful to say, this is just the beginning.”

Look, while what he is doing now is not going to be enough to make up for his foolishness and the things he said last time, it is still a step in the right direction.

In my opinion, this is still more courageous than people who refuse to admit to their mistakes. You can argue that what he’s doing now is just for show—but what if he’s really reflecting on his actions?

Everybody makes mistakes. While we may never forget the things he had done in the past, we could perhaps try and forgive him.
