Data is no longer greedily hoarded by telcos in Singapore.
And we probably have Circles.Life to thank for that.
With the existence of Circles.Life, the three main telcos of Singapore which previously denied Singaporeans data bundles in double digits, started offering plans with bigger data bundles.
Like Singtel’s unlimited mobile data add-on.
A Telco Trend:
If you squint your eye and tilt your head to the left at exactly 362.56 degrees, you’ll start to see a trend.
Offering “practically unlimited” data at cheaper prices.
First, you have Singtel going at $39.90 for unlimited data.
Then a few days ago, Starhub started offering $20 for 50 GB worth of data.
And now, it’s M1’s turn.
Yup, it’s the era of big data indeed.

Now, while 25GB worth of data doesn’t sound attractive, it’s as good as unlimited data (unless you’re on YouTube 24/7). Our resident tech writer was trying to use as much data as he could and managed to hit 15 GB (barely) last month.
So, yes, $5 for 25GB worth of data is a pretty good deal.
